Prayer

It was God’s grace and faithful prayers that brought Kevin through his life-threatening ordeal. And it’s prayer to a loving God who hears that will bring Kevin through his rehabilitation and back to a full and vibrant life.

Here are some ways you can pray:

  • That Kevin will be healed and regain the use of his legs
  • That Kevin and Tiffany will get much-needed sleep
  • That the driver would know the saving grace of Jesus Christ (Kevin’s request)
  • That Kevin will be assigned the best rehabilitation opportunities
  • That Kevin’s doctors and nurses would continue to have skill and wisdom
  • That Lynn and Mark Mather and Gregg and Janice Gentry would remain strong and have peace
  • That God would be glorified through this ordeal
  • That financial and insurance needs would be met
  • That the various paperwork tasks would run smoothly and not be a stress to the family
  • That Kevin and Tiffany will both remain strong emotionally and spiritually
  • That the repairs on the Mather’s condo would be completed quickly and that finances are provided
  • That everyday practical needs will continue to be met

Kevin, Greetings from Holland, Michigan. You do not know us, however we were made aware of your situation by a special aquaintance of ours in L.A. Our son was in an accident 4 + years ago and went through some very similar situations as you are going through now. We would like to join the many others who are supporting you and Tiffany through prayer and encouragement. The Lord is all powerful and will come through. Our Faith and Trust in him is what carried us through our situation and we know it will carry you through your situation also. Once again we are reminded that God’s timing does not always coinside with our immediate plans. Sometimes his timing requires that we wait and hope…. Our son is doing so much better than we could have ever asked for. I’m sure you will be doing so soon, also. Patience is a more positive trait. It is the ability to bear affliction, delay, and interruption with calmness, perseverance, and confidence in the goodness of God. (Colossians 1: 11-12) It is inward peace as well as outward control. It is submission of our schedules, our viewpoints, our dreams to a greater plan of God, with the conviction that he has a good reason for every delay he allows to come our way. Our prayers will continue to be with you and Tiffany as you face your daily challenges.
