Kevin Moving to Rehabilitation on Saturday!

July 10th, 4:43 PM – Just one week after the accident, and after multiple surgeries, Kevin is ready to move to a rehabilitation center in Northridge at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. We guess Kevin just wasn’t going to take things lying down! More details to follow shortly.
Following is the update we received from Sarah Isaac at 2:47 PM today:
A number of people from Copperhill spent the evening at the hospital with Kevin, Tiffany and the Gentrys. At the end of the evening before Kevin went to sleep we all piled into his room, surrounded him and laid hands on him to pray. Many prayers were offered for the miraculous healing of Kevin’s legs, many offered in thanks for all that the Lord has spared thus far, including Kevin’s life, vision, brain, and charisma. After several people had prayed, Kevin joined in. He first prayed a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for all of the family, friends and members of Copperhill that have poured out their love and encouragement. Then, through tears, he prayed “Lord, I pray that through these circumstances, you would help me love you more tomorrow than I do today.”
God is good. Praise the Lord for the hope and peace that that can only come from knowing our God!
This morning marked the one week anniversary of the accident. Much to the surprise of the family, today Kevin was cleared for a transfer to a physical therapy center in Northridge. They had originally been told that Kevin would be transfered in 1-2 weeks but he continues to progress quickly. PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Stay tuned for updates on the specifics of the transfer that will probably take place on Monday. Please continue to pray for a miraculous healing. Pray also that the Lord will continue to lift the spirits of Kevin and Tiffany as they continue on this journey to recovery.

On the morning of Friday, July 3, while cycling in the SCV with friends, Kevin was struck by a fast-moving vehicle. He was airlifted by helicopter for attention to his multiple injuries, including damage to his spine. This blog is for Kevin's family, friends, and colleagues, who are all praying for him and rallying to his side during this time of trial. My dear Kevin, wipe your tears .
The Lord is watching and the Lord is listening to our prayers. Do not feel sad
or lose hope, keep your hope high and look for that little light even though it is far away but still shines around… I wanted to tell you about a friend of mine who works with me . She came this moring to invite me to a Saturday event and
I excused myself and then I mentioned to her what had happened to you.
To my surprise she told me that her husband had a very similar accident but it was in the freeway when a truck full of ciment fall on him and broke his back and he was air lifted to Kaiser Beverly Hills ( the Ciment was very heavy which fell on him ) and they did the surgery and inserted the bars and screws and told him his chances to walk again is 1% (one percent) . She said he was very sad and all the world got darkened in his eyes… after 4-5 weeks with intense physical therapy … he started walking and he is walking now…. He sometimes has a limp but he is walking…. Keep your HOPE high and miracles always happen. We need te hope and our hope is on the Lord. Do not look at the numbers and the percentages… our Lord has a different agenda and different timetable… our Lord has a healing touch, by his stripes we are healed, praise his name… in everything we praise his name. The Lord is Able… Amen Thank you Lord Jesus the Nazerth for all your blessings, we ask you Lord to touch Keving and heal him and give him and Tiffany peace in their hearts, joy and happiness. Amen

Kevin is in the hearts and minds of many, even those who don’t know him personally. Prayers are going up for Kevin in North Carolina, Kansas and as far as Istanbul, Turkey…for blessings and a full recovery.

I was blessed with the ability to see Kevin this evening (Friday). Visiting Kevin and Tiff and the support group around them is truly a blessing. Kevin is an amazing young man and they way he and Tiffany are enduring through this trial is truly amazing and encouraging. This evening Kevin was just EXTREMELY excited about moving to the Northridge rehab center tomorrow. Tiff and all other family and friends are just as excited and amazed at Kevin’s rapid recover and Gods great works in this entire event. To see Kevin and Tiffany stand so Strong in their faith and trust in the Lord is truly amazing and encouraging to me and all of those around them. Kevin and Tiff will need a much needed day of rest tomorrow as I am sure the move from USC to Northridge will be eventful. Be sure to remember them in your prayers throughout the day.
Pray that Kevin and Tiffany both get a full nights rest tonight.
Pray that the move will go smoothly. That it will not be to painful or tiring on Kevin or Tiff.
Pray that God continues to do a mighty works in Kevin’s recovery.

Our Community Group lifted you up in prayer last night and we all are continuing to pray throughout our days. We are so encouraged by God answering our prayers already. God is the true surgeon, healer, and mighty creator and all things are possible through Christ who strenghthens “you.”

Thank you Lord for your mighty work, thank you for the miracles, thank you for your guidance and planning that you prepared for Kevin and Tiffany… Thank you Lord for your love that surround them and keep them going with strong will and STRONG HOPE. We praise your name Lord and glorify you Lord. We ask you Lord to continue your healing on Kevin’ body from top of his head to the bottom of his legs, cover Kevin under your precious blood , please Lord touch every weakness , every injury and every pain and turn it into full strength , complete recovery and above all indefininte joy and trust that YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE LORD – AMEN
